It is obviously dangerous in a democracy to limit access to the Courts to those who meet certain criteria - in this case the ability to pay a ridiculous Court fee. Does the Government simply not "get that" or is the State not going to pay for anything anymore. Are we going to have to pay a tariff on every road, pay a fee to see our GP, are the police going to go onto a Premium telephone line, is the BBC going to be abolished, or are we going to live in a decent society where there is a proper level of public service, including access to Justice.
