Perhaps they keep reporting them because the solicitors keep appealing??
Cases win or lose on their own facts. These cases highlight the shoddy way the public are often dealt with. What's worse is the fact the solicitors concerned make no admissions.
Who in their right mind decided to take this on appeal?
I recall the original decision of HHJ Gosnell being reported and thinking it was wide reaching. Having read the appeal even more so, in fact the Lord Justices felt Gosnell had been too generous towards the solicitors.
There were many other firms who made mistakes handling these claims but who are not reported. Perhaps they wisely settle the claims brought against them. In fact in previous articles various firms were named as having settled cases including Beresfords and Saffmans from memory. Perhaps it depends who their insurers are and those who represent them. Perhaps they too should be named and shamed.
