With respect to David Wolfe QC, secularism ~ whether it be orthodox, fundamental or liberal ~ is itself a religion (as defined by English law) and all too often it takes its own side, in preference to or to the exclusion of all others.

The "one law for all" brigade are simply fundamentalist secularists who fervently believe that only they should enjoy freedom of belief and freedom to manifest their belief whether as individuals or as a group.

In my experience, most intelligent people have no difficulty in distinguishing between freedom of expression and freedom to insult ~ even if they cannot always hold their tongues when the opportunity to express 'legally permitted' gratuitous verbal violence presents itself.
