The point Thorin makes is that this strategy is NOT new...dress it up however you like in acronyms and management speak this "new" concept rips off an 80s idea that has as its main plank taking advantage of the corporate status or outlook of firms to asset strip high street firms of their databases into a public limited company structure that this modern day Gordon Gecko can use to fund his early retirement to the Maldives.
