Well, forgive me, but let me say what many of you are thinking - and are afraid to put your name to by posting anonymously. What utter patronising twaddle.

I am a partner in my own business, and I am having to comply with utterly ridiculous, ill conceived, ludicrous legal changes every five minutes, whilst trying to keep a regulator happy.

It's a little like being a plate spinner, with an audience member taking a chainsaw to one of my arms, another insisting I do it blindfold, and another greasing the floor, all telling me to do it quicker and more efficiently.

I'm having to run a practice where the profits on Conveyancing actions are where they are - very low, and now having to immediately just suck up a 60 - 70% decrease in profits on PI work, whilst being told by my regulator that anything conceivably linked to debt collection may be unlicenced in a few months, whilst simultaneously changing the regulations, introducing COLPs, COFAs and a whole lot of other stuff, whilst the Government and powers that be shuffles in higher court fees, budgeting, and then pulls the rug by allowing a monopoly PII system to occur, and tells other groups - licenced conveyancers, ILEX, and even unqualified, uninsured lay people (Mackenzi Friends, they can have a piece of the action too.

Sorry, but I am absolutely sick and tired of yet more change, yet more criticism, and suggested more 'training'.

I cannot help but cynically think that thise who werein practice, earning massive fees, are hardly now able to keep a straight face by telling the current lawyers who are really suffering, that hard times are continuing, and it's our fault.

The situation is frankly despicable, unfair and unrelenting.
