I think it would do senior judges well to remmebr their own time, the other side of the bench and to realise we're now paid, pro-rata much less than they ever were. We don't have the time, resources or costs to pander to the whim of the judiciary. We'll do our best, but a couple of duplicates and some irrelevant documents in a bundle? Ignore them - comment on them, sure, but denying the entire costs of preparation? To my mind, that's disproportionate.
