The car parks that I like most are those where you take a ticket on entry and pay, at or just before leaving, for the time spent there. The car parks that I like least are those where you have to guess the duration of your stay, purchase a ticket accordingly - and then get clobbered if you misjudge that duration. I expect that ParkingEye holds a view diametrically opposed to mine!

Sometimes I get almost paranoid when I drive to a hearing away from the town in which I work and have to park in a pre-payment car park. I may buy my parking ticket based upon the time at which the hearing is listed and its estimated duration, but if those both prove unreliable the court won't pay the penalty charge I incur and I won't get away with including it in my bill of costs. And if I ask the DJ if he'll adjourn for fifteen minutes whilst I go and feed the meter, well....!
