I wonder how many DAC lawyers leave their suit jackets on the back of desk chairs (like Germans leaving their towels on the sun loungers beside the hotel swimming pool) in order not to lose them to someone else whilst they take their quota 'comfort break'. Otherwise they return to the desk that they were using only to find that someone else has taken their place!

Maybe the solution is to play music every thirty minutes, whereupon everyone gets up and circulates around the office. And when the music stops, you run for the nearest desk. No desk and you're out! Then you keep taking a desk away until, ultimately, there's only the managing partner left, who gets a desk every time because no-one has the courage to stand in her way and say that her policy should have universal application.

Why focus upon practising the law and serving the needs of clients when you could be playing musical desks? Oh brave new world that has such people in't!
