The real problem is that the Government sees itself as reforming a wasteful system and the profession as self-serving Luddites.

The Society (and Bar) feeds into this by continual negative campaigning and unprofessional strike action worthy of the most Trotskyist trade union.

The Society should offer an alternative scheme that will deliver savings and efficiencies, instead of saying NO all the time. We are lawyers, for God's sake. Engage with and win the argument. Stop acting like lefties whose only response is to duck the issues and insult the opponent.
