The LCJ makes a perfectly valid point that law exists for the people, not for the lawyers. Justice is not synonymous with legal aid, hence the irrelevance of the demagogues' slogans about "access to justice" being "denied". The commenter who equated this sensible observation to saying that the health service should do without doctors obviously doesn't have a clue. A better analogy would be to say that the health service could manage without a lot of overpaid dead weight in the shape of bureaucrats, "health workers" and "health advocates" of one kind or another.
