I mainly practise conveyancing and dealt with a QS firm many times before it became a QS firm, while it was a QS firm, and after its predictable depatrture from the scheme. I could detect no perceivable difference in their performace during this time, whether normally good, bad, indifferent or difficult. It continues to depend on the individuals within the firm.
When will people accept that (a) there isn't enough money in most types of cases to fund exopensive advertising compaign and (b) all the cases we deal with are individual and the work doesn't lend itself to national branding.
Any by the way, what's happened to Veyo which we all through the Law Society have spent considerable sums on and which, too, was supposed to wave a magic wand and make all cases the same whichin fact they'll never be.
