RTA fraud is more easily done because it is easier to stage an RTA than t is a work case. Shove 4 people in a rented car, crash into an old banger and you then have at least 4 whiplash claims (the driver of the old banger is in on it). That might be £10k each crash of which the "victims" get a couple hundred £ apiece, the cost of the banger and hire car might be £300 and the mastermind takes the rest. Easy money.

The majority are genuine, the minority fraudulent and I am glad it appears that the insurers are now taking a stand over the minority rather than falling over themselves to pay out. maybe it is only now that they have the database of claims sufficient to cross refer everything...?

The issue for me is that the opportunity has been scented to ride the coattails of fraud to completely cripple the ability to claim for those that are genuine.
