I agree with everyone who calls for a forum where a plan can be devised to reach out to the public and raise awareness as to how the government is misleading them (by giving them false figures calculated by insurers themselves) to keep its insurer chums happy and the consequences if the proposals come into effect (no legal representation for innocent victims of negligence claims), not to mention the inevitable affect on the taxpayer's pocket due to thousands losing their jobs and seeking benefits from the government.

This proposal needs to be challenged rigorously if we are to get the government to scrap its plans. This can be done only if the legal profession comes together and comes up with a plan to deal with this.
