If you read "Gentleman of the Law" by Michael Birks I am sure in that book it describes that we have been here before in the 1700,s when effectively Attorneys" were lining up to bash each other over the head for work (for lack of it because there were too many).

And it wasn't the Labour Party that sounded this death knell. It was the Tories with McKay I think was it not?
