Given that nobody will be able to claim for personal injury any more, is there really any need for compulsory motor insurance? The insurance industry clearly thinks that motor insurance is a thorn in their side (they must do, they complain about it so much) so why not abandon it? That will give Joe Public much more than the £1.00 a week that Osborne is touting around. Based on my last renewal premium, I'd be £8.00 a week better off ...
