The trouble with the British is we are too generous. No other nation on earth prostrates itself as we do in order to accommodate the demands of everybody else and their dog.
What will happen? Whether we like it or not, if we continue as we are, our destiny will be that of the North American and Canadian First Nations. Every time the First Nations gave an inch, the European immigrants took a mile. The lesson is in history. It is a personal choice whether or not to learn from history or to simply make the same mistakes.
I do not doubt this view will be unpalatable to many, but then the truth often is.
It is hardly quantum mechanics - but it is biology.
