The only section of the personal injury industry that exists in the gutter is the insurance industry. We are all required to pay premiums and those premium funds are to be utilised in cases where a loss arises. It is my job as a (trainee) solicitor to recover the maximum compensation legally available for my client and it is a commercial reality that I must maximise my costs.

There is no compensation culture. The reason litigation is costly is because every single insurance company claims handler (utterly without exception) is stupid. Their pathetic attempts at playing ‘lawyer’ send costs into overdrive and it is right that the insurer pay for it. Only yesterday, a claim of mine settled at the door of court because the insurer alleged fraud for nearly 4 years. As usual, my client was genuine.
