I don't work at Slaters but I know a lot of people including partners that do. The vast majority of the lawyers are decent hard working people that try hard for their clients ( notwithstanding all of the negative recent publicity). The real problems lie with the way in which the firm is managed and the fact that the management has not yet properly integrated all of the UK firms they have acquired in the last few years. The biggest question of course is why Quindell was purchased at the price it was. The business was distressed and it looks like S&G vastly overpaid for it and have as a consequence have financially stressed the firm.
