In the consideration there has to be proper regard to the cost of being in practice before the end cost to the consumer can be understood. At almost every course I attend to improve my knowledge I come away concerned at how the rules about the 'game I play' are so complex and how ridiculous it is that I charge so little for the risk. Unfortunately I have suspicion that the authorities simply don't care. If people want good legal representation, lawyers have to be in business and rewarded for what they do. There is no magic. We were a profession which meant we did not worry about earnings, we concerned ourselves with the client.. Now we are required to be professionals to a high standard, but shouldn't be paid beyond a tradesman's charge.

To assist the Government there will be lots of lawyer hammering over the next few years.
