The danger here is that the real outcome of this further costly and in my view unnecessary investigation would be, that in lightening, or removing regulation, ethics would be purged from the practise of law altogether, and activity in this sector would become the domain of the banal.
Anybody in this future dystopian legal world could then sell legal services, concentrating purely on supplying services, rather than being constrained by what is best for the client.

Something similar is happening to junior doctors, and I am disturbed that this final act of the tragedy known as "the fall of the legal profession" is being played out with so little protest by its members
