Seriously though, most "claims handlers" are effectively litigating. Most insurers are also litigating (Legal Expenses Insurers in particular (and if you want a clearer example of anti competitive behaviour it is the way they just contemptuously stick the 'V' 's up to the Legal Expenses Insurance Directive 1990).

They don't have all the crap the SRA put up. In fact trying to find any body that really takes responsibility for Claims Handlers is impossible and the FCA are pussy cats to the two or three insurance companies that in effect make up that 'profession' (and are in their pocket).
