Look, you lot. What you need to do is pick the right complainant to go to the LeO with. Surely (for what was a learned 'profession' (before the un-failable professional exams were devised), this is not difficult.

Those clients who shout, scream wet/soil themselves and threaten to burn down yours / your friends / your parents [delete as applicable] house, can easily be 'diverted' down that road.

Then you can offer to help them make that complaint. The thing to d ois to say to only those kinds of people, that you have a public interest in helping them formulate their complaint against you properly so that it guides the LeO's decision making for the future.

You can even help them to phrase their JR and C of A applications.

That is to my mind public spirited.
