Laurence, there are many reasons why so many on here are anonymous and for the majority it has nothing to do with our confidence in our views.

The difficulty for FOIL and I speak from a FOIL member is that you've metaphorically been laying down with the dogs and now you've got fleas.

The ABI and the usual suspects have for years made statements that have at best a tangential relationship to the facts, have refused to disclose their evidence or the basis on which they determine a claim is fraudulent and then are we really to expect that you're surprised when FOIL is tainted by their approach?

The conversation has been reduced to the lowest common denominator and FOIL has as far as I can recall never publicly challenged the drivel pumped out by the ABI and churned by lazy journalists.

As noted by my fellow coward ahem I mean anon, your senior members spout claptrap which appears to support the defendant side (of which I am one) with no proper consideration of the consequences for the administration of justice, the rights of the injured party or indeed the prevention of fraud.

The one thing likely to lead to more fraud is the idea of an online portal as mooted see the Irish system as an exemplar.
