Just get used to it. The Rule of Law and Access to Justice are treated with contempt by a bunch of unemployables who have held few 'proper jobs' before conning us prats to add MP to their names.

Best career advice to young and willing 'hard working' (heard that before when they wanted them?) is to get a good practical apprenticeship in a useful trade that pays cash my boy! You might at least enjoy your family in daylight hours and sleep at night.

I know some doctors are thinking on similar lines. Everyone is fed up of being hectored and spoken 'at' by wallies who look and sound like dubious double glazing salesmen.

I took my toys away last year. At pushing 71 I feel much better for it as do my nearest and dearest who had had enough of my bad moods and manner. I recommend the National Coastwatch Institution (NCI for short). You don't get paid but work in an invigorating sometimes challenging environment sharing your time with as varied a bunch of people with life experiences as you could wish for.
