Having dealt with over the last five years PPI claims on behalf of Insolvency Practitioners - if I didn't have to employ a good number of staff (all paying tax and national insurance) to chase the Banks who refuse to deal with these claims (some claims have still not settled after three years of chasing) if the Banks had dealt fairly with these people (gentleman of 74 yrs not having worked for over 10 years - charged over £10,000 in PPI fees - not an uncommon scenario) and if I was not running a business - ie my husband ran his own upholstery business for over 25 years and when a client ordered a bespoke piece of furniture they were given a price and if they did not want to pay this they did not place an order - this surely is how a business makes a profit - which by the time I have paid my tax and my PII there isn't anywhere near the profit that there could be - oh sorry - my name isn't starbuck or google - why does government really want to stop people making profits - oh of course - silly me - I don't work for the Banks or Insurance companies in the City. I really do fear for newly qualified solicitors coming into the profession today.
