Hi David, (this is the same Anon as 9.45), my worry is that we have already 'jumped into bed' with Europe. If we leave the bed in the middle of the night and don't call in the morning Europe may be a little angry.

There are so many things wrong with the EU, your right to highlight the Common Agricultural Program which is without a doubt one of the worst policies I've ever seen. I'm yet to meet an economist who thinks otherwise.

I want to leave the EU. But I believe there is an inherent danger to it. It worries me that the debate isn't being had over these real dangers and how the country will be formed after leaving (it could take a few years) but instead its being centered over immigration and the 'refugee crisis'.

Much of the general public are just simply ill-informed about these two areas and the result is potentially dangerous. Immigrants boost the economy. Fact. Immigration creates more jobs for British nationals. Fact.

The real point isn't to stop migration, but to allow more migration from outside the EU and less from within. We need more engineers from India for example (who currently really struggle to get a VISA).

My main concern is that referendum will be based on the wrong debate. I want to leave, but not for the reasons that will be at the forefront ...
