Is the SRA so desparate to occupy itself spending the profession's money that it decides to pursue a member of a firm's administrative staff, who evidently was not practising the law, by way of an investigation? Could the firm - or the SRA - have not simply notified the police and left them to take criminal proceedings funded out of the public purse? I now await the report of the disciplinary action taken by the SRA when a sole practitioner's office cleaner was discovered to have taken a toilet roll home without permission!
