I agree David, I agree.

For a time of course according to Strict Economic Doctrine, the bigger the entity theoretically the better the economies of scale, but I am not sure that I buy this with all Law Firms per se, they need control by those with personal equity.

I think the book A Century in the City; Slaughter and May 1880 - 1980 is well worth a read. Until that book was written in 1983 I believe, one of the the original families at least (I think it was the Mays), still had majority control.

Building for the future and retaining an ethical approach on my opinion.

thats what I would want if I had to work in the City (which I never really wanted to do).
