In 1973, Anon 2.50, there were these funny men walking around the place dressed in blue uniforms. They were called 'bobbies on the beat' and they had no way of knowing who was insured, but could tell from the tax disc that the owner of a car had paid his road tax. Now we cannot do either just by looking at the car. In France they abolished road tax some years ago. Well the central government did, but as it was paid to each Department they were the ones to lose out.

Sorry to be skiing 'off piste' again, but it is late on a Friday... An we have to warm up for Wales v. France at 8.00 p m!
