The suggestion of a standard notice requirng a McKenzie Friend to confirm that the y understnad their duty to the court seems reasonable.

It would perhaps be appropriate for MF to provide to their 'clients' a standard form including that declaration and declaring whether they were charging a fee, whether they had (or did not have) PII, and whether they were, or were not, a member of any professional body.

If that information had to be provided in advance of any hearing then the parties would know where they stand. It could perhaps be a condition of the MF appearing that they were able to provide a copy of such a form, countersigned by their client, to show that the client was aware of their role and the limitations of it.
