Thank you for your comment. I have been made aware of this matter having been contacted by the McKenzie Friend involved. (I assist in the running of the McKenzie Friend Organisation.

This young lady contact the McKenzie Friend because she could obtain no other assistance, help or legal advice from anywhere - particularly at such short notice.

I am sure you will be aware that in Public Law cases in Family Proceedings legal representation is absolutely essential and the respondents involved have a legal right to receive it.

The (mostly emotional) support given to the lady was given over the phone outside of normal working ours and, since there was nobody available to assist her at Court, the speach prepared with her input was read out to the Judge. She was alone - completely.

The Judge took no notice of her request, the applicant's professional legal team also ignored her plea for legal assistance and both trampled, shamefully, all over her legal rights - without a care in the world for her child.

It would seem the mother was just an inconvenience to the Local Authority who require the Court to rubber stamp and Adoption application. Another forced adoption with no crime committed.

I will be addressing this matter in due course but it is not right that this particular case should be discussed publicly in case and of the parties are identified.

Thank you again for your comment.
