Comment

Whilst the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 decrees that if you fail to make reasonable provision for certain people, then they have a right to bring a claim against your estate, the point at issue here is that if the result is not supported by public, then the public will stop making wills and start transferring their assets before death. Not sure if that is what parliament intended.

I hope the animal charities succeed as it will set a precedent and give comfort to potential will makers that their wishes will be respected.
