These are wise words from Civitas which can be contrasted with the stance taken by the Law Society. For instance the Law Society did nothing to prevent referral fees and has done nothing since the referral fee ban was introduced to stop the attempts used to circumvent the ban. I would have thought the Law Society would be interested in keeping the profession within the spirt of the law. Sadly that does not seem to be the case.
