Exactly David. We had this tiresome approach as early as 1995 when I started. Claimants actively encouraged to up the quantum with firms that were paranoid about losing business to the guy next door.

No wonder the Insurers managed to get Legal Aid destroyed ......

For a while they could take the moral high ground (with Claimant Lawyers being totally responsible for this)....
