I attended the conference in Woolwich in 1999 during which Woolf vistited to justify to a very large group of solicitors and received a frosty reception
I thought they were just "crying wolf" and the reforms should be given a chance.
They have been given a chance.
The public need to know that under the previous system and the one imposed since the truly British way of having more rules than common sense remains alive an kicking and is not even remotely in the clients' best interest.
Jumping on the media bandwagon of blaming solicitors for the rules solicitors are obliged to follow is unconscionable.
I am very aware that LIPs and their McFriends are taking over the madhouse and judges cannot cope so putting it online will allow them to take a step back from the plebs. Ha ha ha
