Granted reallocating a £400 claim is disproportionate to the costs that will be incurred however there is a wider issue. The Portal is totally unsuitable for credit hire claims where the issue of need is disputed. Defendants are entitled to defend themselves. There will be times when cross examination of the Claimant is required. I hope this will not lead to the portal being highjacked by credit hire companies seeking a soft target to pursue questionable claims.
