Dominic Cooper - I hope that no one you care about has to rely on an income from personal injury work. I am a defendant solicitor, recently re training after 5 years pqe in motor work.... I have moved to disease and I am currently undertaking very hard and stressful re training. Why? To stay in work. I've been made redundant twice in 6 months and had 3 years prior to that of worrying how to pay my mortgage. I've got 3 As at A level, a 2.1 from a red brick university and a distinction in my LPC from the college of law and I have listened to countless recruitment agents telling me how under qualified I am due to a lack of diversity on my CV and how my salary (which is way below the average for someone 6 years out of uni and for which I already took a £5k paycut on last year to obtain employment) is still too high. I work hard, I don't lie or cheat and I genuinely enjoy the work I do. I am not alone in any of the above. I just happen to be one of the "unlucky ones" who didn't get a training contract which paid for my LPC or gave me experience in commercial or corporate work. PI is all I know. Just remember we're humans too when you finish your sarcastic rant. Humans who worry about how to pay the bills or how to find a job doing something else after all this time....or how to console spending £20k on a series of qualifications that non one wants.
