It is not possible for costs to be both reasonable and disproportionate at the same time. We really have disappeared down the rabbit hole of ill-considered judicial meddling now and something has to give. Either these claims cannot be brought by ordinary people, or lawyers must work for rewards which do not justify the ability, time, cost and risk entailed by legal practise. Absolutely mandatory is the earliest possible Part 36 offer to remove Jackson proportionality from the equation.
