The trouble is regulation has drifted out of relevance in the eyes of the consumer and doesn't demonstrably offer immediate and tangible benefits for the extra cost. Law firms need to stop hiding behind the badge of "regulated" and focus more on providing value. The fact that consumers are turning to unregulated providers is evidence that they are failing to do so. Action, not complaining is the only answer.
