I have had the misfortune to come across a solicitor who took every point, good or bad, and refused to co-operate, on the occasions we did speak he was rude, and he exhibited without prejudice correspondence to a witness statement. At one hearing the Judge said he was conducting "old style" litigation and ordered his client to pay the costs of the hearing. The costs were eventually paid (nine weeks late) on an office account cheque and both Counsel and I thought he had failed to tell his client of the costs order.

It was a great relief when a few years later he was struck off and made bankrupt. I know I won't have to deal with him again.
