I know little of Phil Shiner and less on the merits or lack of them of the cases he was bringing. What I do know is it that's wholly inappropriate for Michael Fallon to keep commenting on the situation in the prejudiced way he does. As part of the Executive he should keep well out of all this. And as I understand it Phil Shiner is not the only solicitor being impugned. Aren't Leigh Day involved in this as well? The consensus of opinion here doesn't seem all that well disposed to Shiner, but surely Leigh Day are a long established and ostensibly respectable firm, and they were also being targeted by Fallon and of course the Daily Mail.
