Anon 3.09 p m, I understood that it was alleged that at best Shiner knew full well and at a relatively early stage that the allegations his clients were making were completely untrue. At worst it is alleged that his clients were being paid to make those allegations. The sick irony is that PIL was being paid by the British taxpayer of whom the very soldiers, against whom the allegations were being made, were amongst those same taxpayers.

Just imagine your being sued for professional negligence for a fault you knew did not happen by a former client whose lawyer was paying him to make it and who had the benefit of a Legal Aid Certificate...
