A good point, Tanel. Different people practise in different ways. I recall one of my older bosses telling me that there was someone near the Law Courts who used simply to administer oaths...and did nothing else. Would he have to declare an hourly rate?

I work from home, do unregulated work, have no PII cover, nor Practising Certificate. But I do do legal work e g wills. Thank goodness i am not regulated by Elizabeth Davies. But if I did have a PC and if I did do reserved categories of work I would be. My overheads are, however, negligible. Those who own or rent an office on the High Street and employ people are in a very different position. I once did so myself.

This is the sort of madness you get when people who have not spent half a lifetime at the coal face telling us how to swing a pick axe or detect the smell of gas. Another example is Katrina Percy in the Southern Mental Health Care NHS Trust on her £250,000 and still on her £250,000 despite having stood down. They just have no idea.

You couldn't make it up.
