Quite correct, Martin. Those who think this is a democracy are like a broken clock. It tells the correct time once every 12 hours. This is a democracy, well sort of, once every 5 years. The election of JC , Jeremy Corbyn that is, not Jesus Christ, is about as close as any of us gets to a democratic process.

The problem is, can anyone name a better solution?

Still at least TM seems at last to be getting on with imll;emanating the will of the people, well 17m out of c.60m. Democracy, I don't think so!
