It doesn't matter that the LS also represent Defendant practitioners - no right thinking lawyer from either side of the fence should have been in favour of the proposed reforms.

As much as Defendant practitioners may lament some of the poorer behaviour they see from Claimants they too recognise that genuinely injured people should have an absolute right to compensation, that our legal system needs to ensure a mechanism by which they can obtain legal assistance in pursuing that compensation and that the mechanism by which someone comes to be injured should not be determinative of whether or not they have a right in law to restitution.
