PS I wouldn't even bother with a hearing, Anon 16.50. Just imagine the headline "Solicitor banged up for eight years for fraud and SRA allows him to remain on the Roll". Their principal function, as I see it, is to try to weed out dodgy applicants for admission and then to come down on those who get through like a ton of bricks. Instead we get this. And they mess around with diversity questionnaires and all the rest of the totally unnecessary regulations which hobble the 99+% of the profession who instinctively know right from wrong and behave accordingly.
