I'm suspicious when anyone says "We've entered into a CVA but it's fine......there is nothing to see here....we continue to trade profitably...". At who's expense exactly ?

I do not know nor would I speculate on why one of the creditors in this case is HMRC (to the tune of £3/4million!). However as that is due and owing, why is it due and owing ? Why was it not paid ?

Business is tough at times but we all have to pay our way. Obviously we'd be richer if we didn't have to pay taxes but taxes are not meant to be optional.

As usual, innocent people will suffer financial hardship because of this and whilst Just Costs might well "continue to trade profitably" do they not have a duty to inform their staff and their clients why they have accumulated such a substantial HMRC debt not to mention the other debts ? Whoever they owe money to have to pay their debts too.

It is unfortunate when anyone or any company is struggling because of matters beyond their control (changes imposed by the Government to the PI system for instance) but we all have to pay our taxes no matter how much we would prefer not to.
