When I was briefly in private practice the firm refused to take on either family disputes or neighbour disputes. They were by no means the only one in the city who did so, and how many readers have come off record in the course of one of these cases?
The parties tend to be obsessional, to say the least, and it looks as though this case came within that category. Unfortunately you come across this sort of person quite often in local government.
Most normal folk only contact their local Council over a postal vote or their refuse collection, and believe me, we like it that way!
