Perhaps I'm missing something? I would have thought that it is obvious that anyone wanting to practice law in Belgium, or anywhere else in Europe, would need to understand European (Roman) law - just like anyone wanting to practice in Timbuctoo might find it an advantage to practice their particular brand of law. What difference will it make to your average lawyer in England or Wales? When in Rome, do as the Romans do - outside of it who cares?
