I am not sure about Sleaford but knowing voters in Bolton and Hartlepool I am sure that the the fate of English lawyers not qualified in Belgium is the hot topic of conversation as they clog their way back home from t' factories. Pausing for breath between pies and chips, concern about the need for dual qualification to practise law in New York, Australia or India has caused them sleepless nights for decades. It would have made all the difference to the vote to have known how it would impact on lawyers scratching out a living on the continent.
